This week has brought some changes to how I feel on this journey with photography. I have spent so much money on a dream..that has been on my mind for the last two years. Starting with the purchase of my first Nikon camera, spending time with my sister and reading everything I find on the subject. I love the process, the editing and falling in love with an image..and thinking "wow, I took that" I have had doubts, I edit and edit an image..thinking.."It doesn't look right" than ask my family and friends if it looks okay, only to have them tell me yes. Last week I was blessed with photographing my son, daughter in law and grandkids. I thought to myself..this is just another photoshoot that I love. But looking at the images...I found myself thinking...Yes, I can do this. These are beautiful images. It was the first time I really thought I could do this. So here I am, working on this website and typing my first blog. I have so many ideas...A lot of time I drive all the way to work thinking about it. Two days ago I was in my car and thought.. "what fun it would be to do a dads photoshoot" One that was cute, funny and focused on the dad bod. A Push lawnmower, and weed whacker in attendance. Or....I see a beautiful little girl, in a long flowing dress with a train. A bouquet of wildflowers in her hands, at sunset. My mind is usually thinking about this stuff most of my day. This weekend I'm going up to northern Michigan. My camera and all my gear will be along for the ride. I will be taking some of that time and creating more content for this website. Maybe...Just maybe I can talk my boys into being my model dads. I will be surrounded by some of my sons, daughter in laws, and grandkids. It's sure to be a busy and fun filled three days. I can't wait.
